Job description


About This Role

We are seeking an After School teacher for our Montessori preschool and After School program in Allen, offering a part-time schedule from 2:30pm - 6:00pm, starting in late March.


What You'll Do

Plan engaging daily activities for the class, ensuring a productive and enjoyable experience for all students.

Supervise the children at all times, monitoring their health and safety indoors and outdoors.

We are looking for a team player who can collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.

Provide positive guidance to help students develop self-discipline and good social skills.

Report any cases of abuse or suspected abuse as required by law.

Ensure adherence to all rules, regulations, and policies at Discovery Montessori Academy.

Complete assigned training and perform other functions as assigned by administration and/or supervisor.

Assist students with their homework and worksheets as needed.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong love for children, patience, and a respectful attitude.

Previous experience working with preschool children in a school setting is essential.


Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are a must.

Ability to work well with children, parents, and other staff members is a requirement.

The teacher will need to pass a background check, fingerprinting, and obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Fluency in English and proficiency in the position's responsibilities are also necessary.


Nice To Haves

While not required, having previous experience working with children in a group setting is a definite plus.
