Key Responsibilities
  • Records, maintains and monitors the City's accounting records and cash flow in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) for general and special funds, and capital.
  • Monitors revenues and expenditures, as assigned, to ensure proper accounting and interpretation.
  • Work is subject to automatic and periodic verification through a system of internal controls, pre-audits and post-audits, and to supervisory review for conformity with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field.
  • Five (5) years of accounting experience; or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field and four (4) years of accounting experience.
