About the Organization
Our company was incorporated in 1984 within the State of North Carolina, and opened its doors for business in August of 1985. The company has continually grown to a point where we currently serve more than 600 individuals, and employ more than 1000 people across the state.
Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12.

Community Ops/AFL
Positions Available: Back Up/PRN
In an AFL setting the individual being served lives with the AFL Host or family. The AFL Host is responsible for the individual 24/7 365 and the individual served should blend into the family setting. An AFL Host will participate in team meetings and carry out individual goals for those served. The AFL Host must turn in data to the QP weekly. An AFL Host is not an employee of Skill Creations Inc. Instead the individual works from an agreement that outlines financial reimbursement and requirements for the service. The AFL Host is paid a daily rate plus a monthly Room and Board supplement that is determined by the services being provided.
Requirements
1. Must live in a dwelling that passes Organization, State and LME-MCO regulations.
2. A Vehicle for transportation of the individual with active full insurance (collision and liability).
3. May require wheelchair accessibility for some individuals.
5. Clear Driving and Criminal Records.
6. Successful completion (on time) of RELIAS training (provided by Skill Creations Inc.).
7. Successful completion (on time) of CPR/ First Aid, Medication Administration and Behavior Management Programs
