Description
Affinity Health Center seeks a full time Patient Access Specialist to provide excellent customer service to patients; answer shared calls on agency call center; schedule patients for appointments; verify insurance and collect copays; collaborate with coworkers across the organization to provide patient centered care.
Starting Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Preferred Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Office Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred
Position Requirements
  • Minimum two years of medical office experience in a primary care practice.
  • Professional experience using technology such as Email, Microsoft Office Suites, Data Management, and/or Point of Sale systems required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including working in the evening, working at organizational satellite sites, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Experience verifying insurance coverage and collecting copayments required.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes and electronic health records (EHR) required.
