What You'll Do:

The SSB Innovation team is seeking an Aesthetic Design Director. The Director will lead our product design and component development teams to design and implement new products across our portfolio of brands and private label programs. The Aesthetics Design Director will own the department and operating budget including creative agency engagements, equipment and other capital purchases.

How You'll Do It:
  • Own and manage key vendor relationships for Aesthetics domestically and globally to support material innovation for product development.
  • Provide annual color and trends forecast.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
  • Develop and execute recommendations for new national line product launch looks.
  • Develop Aesthetic guidebook for branded look and feel across all SSB brands in partnership with design team.
  • Deliver material Innovation ideas to assist in achieving $1B Innovation pipeline.
  • Manage over 1,000 material changes annually.
  • Deliver projects on time and in full.
  • 3-d Model and Render new looks for consumer research and selling stories.
  • Participate in dealer sell in meetings as needed.
  • Own the operating budget for Aesthetics Design team.
What You'll Bring:
  • Degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design or Textile Design preferred.
  • Experience dealing with a complex network of suppliers
  • 10-15 years' experience in roles focused on industrial or aesthetic design

The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
