Job description

The PM role will manage and coordinate customer projects,ย as well as development and process improvement projects,ย ensuring progress action of all tasks as well as completing technical requirements to ensure project schedule commitments are met.ย ย 

Tasks and Responsibilities:ย ย 

This role willย be responsible forย severalย activities.ย ย These activitiesย include but are not limited to:ย ย 

  • Manage projects by following TSS AHA Airframe Project Management Process and AS9100 requirementsย 
  • Development, coordinate and/or manage customer requests (RFI, RFQ, Q&A) including creation of quotations or proposalsย 
  • Risk mitigation using various project management tools and internally developed toolsย 
  • Understanding of customer requirements, applications, products, manufacturing process complete feasibility reviewย 
  • Develop and manage project schedules using Microsoft Projectย 
  • Interpret or develop technical requirements or solutions as neededย 
  • Coordinate technical and commercial reviews as needed to ensure project successย 
  • Ensure commitments to all project deliverables are completed and on timeย 
  • Ensure quality and delivery requirements are captured,ย communicatedย and completedย 
  • Develop, coordinate and/or manage awarded projects (scheduling, risk planning, task management, testing, qualification, Q&A)ย 
  • Support factories as needed to fulfill project deliverablesย ย 
  • Facilitate regular meetings (including kick-off meeting) with project stake holders toย maintainย communication, project statusย 
  • Regularly update project tracking and project status documentsย 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at any one timeย 
  • Work with cross functional groups to deliver to project commitments

Education and Experience:ย ย 

  • Minimumย 1ย year experience inย project management inย aย corporateย engineering settingย requiredย 
  • Bachelorsย degreeย required,ย engineering or other relevantย technical degreeย stronglyย preferredย 
  • Project management experience, PMP, CAPM,ย PgMPย or equivalent certification preferredย 
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.ย 
  • Experience withย JDEdwardsย a plusย 

Competencies:ย ย 

  • Proficiencyย in Microsoft Projectย ย 
  • Proficiencyย in Microsoft PowerPointย 
  • Proficiencyย in Microsoft Excelย 
  • Technical and commercial communication skillsย 
  • Understanding ofย seal manufacturing processesย 
  • Space market knowledge a plus
