OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Finance has a key leadership role that is responsible for the financial health success of the company. You will provide strategic fiscal guidance and ensure government contract compliance.


Strategic Financial & Operations Leadership

  • Executive Strategy: Drive long-range planning, market analysis, and forecasting to guide company growth and decision-making.
  • Financial Integrity: Oversee monthly and year-end closing, financial reporting, and the development of robust, scalable internal controls.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a diverse team across finance and accounting, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

Contracting & Compliance

  • Government Expert: Ensure absolute compliance with FAR, DFAR, TINA, CAS, and ITAR standards for all government contracts.
  • Contract Negotiation: Assist in negotiating commercial and government contracts, balancing technical specifications with financial bottom-line goals.
  • Relationship Management: Manage external partners, including banking, insurance, and major subcontractors, ensuring seamless flow-down of contract requirements.
  • Cost Management: Oversee labor and material standards and manage "Estimate to Complete" (ETC) metrics for all programs.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred or related industry.
  • Experience:
  • 15+ years of combined experience in aerospace finance and/or accounting.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing multi-faceted, high-performance teams.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Expertise in QuickBooks and MS Office Products (Including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Cost accounting proficiency and a deep understanding of multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Compliance: Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship).


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND VISUAL DEMANDS

  • Standard office environment; occasional exposure to manufacturing plant noise/temperature, requiring PPE.
  • Frequent speaking, listening, and computer use.
  • Vision requirements include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
