As a Sr. Advanced R&D Engineer Scientist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving innovation, shaping the company's technical strategy, and mentoring future leaders. You'll report directly to the Engineering Manager and be part of the Braking Systems business unit, based in South Bend, IN, with a hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Material Science, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus in composites.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of leadership and technical expertise in aerospace or related advanced R&D fields.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with experience driving innovation and technology development.
• Proven project management, estimation, and time management skills.
• Expertise in advanced aerospace technologies, materials science, electronics, sensors, or controls, with a deep understanding of emerging trends and their applications.
• Experience in mentoring and developing technical talent and contributing to intellectual property creation and strategic planning.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) to both technical and non-technical audiences.
