Job description

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Annuity Marketing Strategist to join our Marketing Strategy Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. In this hybrid role, you will develop strategy, execute campaigns, and manage relationships across our advisory and retail channels.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic plans for advisory annuity product marketing, including point‑of‑sale collateral, webpages, and other assets.
  • Lead go‑to‑market execution of omnichannel campaigns—email, social, web—to build awareness and adoption of advisory annuity products.
  • Serve as the advisory annuity product expert, providing insights and guidance that inform campaign strategy, positioning, and communications.
  • Contribute to thought‑leadership and media storytelling that highlight the broader value of advisory annuities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional marketing partners (Creative Services, Marketing Operations, Digital Execution, Campaign Management) to align campaigns with business priorities.
  • Partner with Sales and strategic accounts teams to develop marketing campaigns and sales ideas aligned with product positioning.
  • Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment, clarity, and transparency across projects.
  • Ensure all product materials are timely, compliant, and effectively distributed across relevant channels.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and field feedback; translate insights into actionable marketing strategies and product positioning.
  • Inform the development of digital tools and sales collateral that help financial professionals and clients understand complex retirement income strategies.
  • Track campaign performance, use data and feedback to refine strategies and optimize impact.
  • Represent Marketing in cross‑functional meetings such as PMO, advising on marketing impacts and communicating updates.
  • Travel periodically with Sales teams or industry conferences to gain insight into the sales process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in product marketing and sales within financial services.
  • Experience with annuities required; advisory annuities preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience developing marketing deliverables such as pitch decks, creative briefs, and email journey maps.
  • Proven ability to develop integrated marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Knowledge of marketing technologies, including CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, sales enablement tools, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong time‑management skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple overlapping projects.
  • Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and strong working relationships across teams.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and shifting timelines.
