Job description

Role Summary

We’re hiring a Product Manager to own Polk Audience products built for automotive marketers and delivered through the media and ad tech ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of automotive data, audience targeting, and partner‑led distribution, ensuring our audiences are easy to buy, activate, and measure across resellers, major media platforms (e.g., Amazon, Netflix), DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk), and audience marketplaces. You will define the roadmap and commercial strategy for these audience packages while leading next‑generation distribution innovation as the industry shifts toward AI‑driven planning, activation, and measurement and privacy‑first addressability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own product vision and roadmap for Polk Audience packages, with clear positioning, differentiation, and packaging aligned to automotive use cases (e.g., in‑market, ownership, lifecycle, model‑level insights, conquesting). Translate market needs into product requirements across audience taxonomy, metadata, activation controls, and performance feedback loops. Define product readiness standards for launch across channels: specs, documentation, enablement, pricing/packaging, and lifecycle management. Build business cases for roadmap investments, balancing partner demand, scalability, and margin.
  • Partner & Reseller Distribution: Serve as product lead for audiences distributed via resellers, audience marketplaces, media partners, DSP/platform partners, clean‑room/controlled collaboration workflows. Drive partner success by shaping integration requirements, onboarding flows, audience availability, naming conventions, segment metadata, and refresh cadence to maximize adoption and performance. Define guardrails for AI‑enabled capabilities (explainability, policy compliance, bias considerations, partner transparency) in partnership with legal/privacy and data science. Capture insights from activation teams, and convert feedback into prioritized improvements. Collaborate with sales/BD to support partner growth with product narratives, competitive positioning, and solution design for automotive advertisers and agencies.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience in ad tech, martech, data products, or audience/identity/measurement ecosystems.
  • Strong knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, audience marketplaces, and platform integrations.
  • Proven experience shipping products distributed through partners/resellers (platform or marketplace distribution models preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute data‑driven product strategy: sizing opportunities, prioritizing roadmap, defining success metrics, and iterating based on results.
  • Comfort working with technical concepts such as APIs, data taxonomies, audience definitions, data pipelines, match methodologies, and integration specifications (not required to code).
  • Excellent partner‑facing communication skills—able to influence outcomes across external stakeholders and internal teams without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automotive marketing and shopper journey use cases (OEMs, dealers, auto finance/insurance, aftermarket).
  • Familiarity with CTV/streaming ad ecosystems and the unique constraints of activation and measurement in those environments.
  • Experience with privacy‑first advertising approaches and evolving addressability patterns.
Working Style & Expectations
  • Strategic and external‑facing: strong market instincts and partner empathy.
  • Execution‑oriented: able to run multiple workstreams across partner commitments and internal delivery.
  • Analytical and principled: prioritizes based on impact, feasibility, and measurable outcomes.
