Cleveland Metroparks is seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven Advertising Specialist to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and advertising campaigns that advance the goals of Cleveland Metroparks properties, services, attractions, and activities. The Advertising Specialist translates marketing strategies into impactful campaigns by combining strong media expertise, analytical thinking, project management, and collaboration skills to deliver measurable results.
The ideal candidate brings creativity, analytical thinking, and a passion for connecting audiences with meaningful experiences. They enjoy leading cross-functional initiatives and are energized by the opportunity to shape how millions of visitors engage with Cleveland Metroparks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing and advertising campaigns across traditional, digital, and emerging media channels.
  • Create comprehensive advertising plans informed by research, audience insights, performance data, and organizational priorities.
  • Work with media sales representatives to plan, negotiate, purchase, traffic and manage traditional and digital media, and other emerging opportunities.
  • Manage paid media performance end-to-end: partner with digital marketing teams on search optimization and pay-per-click strategy, monitor performance, and apply data-driven optimizations to future campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and creative team to establish campaign objectives, timelines, deliverables, and performance measures across multiple media platforms.
  • Oversee the advertising creative development and execution process to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, consistently, and on schedule.
  • Champion the Cleveland Metroparks brand personality, consistency, and overall user experience across marketing initiatives.
  • Manage assigned budgets, monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Support the evaluation and activation of corporate sponsorship opportunities and benefits.
  • Travel throughout the park district to attend meetings, marketing events, and other business activities.

Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, media buying, communications, or a related field.
  • At least three years of professional marketing experience, including media planning and purchasing.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Expertise in planning, negotiating, and executing traditional and digital media strategies
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong business acumen, project management, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and translate complex information into clear recommendations and reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively with individuals and groups
  • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders
