About Auster at Dome Mountain

Set alongside the Yellowstone River and in close proximity to the North gate of Yellowstone National Park, Auster at Dome Mountain will showcase the rugged natural beauty and authentic western hospitality of southwest Montana. Designed as both a gathering place for the local community and a destination for travelers, Auster blends modern comfort with a deep respect for the area's landscapes and traditions.

The newest addition to AMB West, Auster will include 20 cabins designed for year-round stays, ranging from one- to three-bedroom layouts. The main lodge anchors the site and will serve as the hub for connection, dining, and relaxation, complemented by a casual restaurant and bar featuring a rooftop deck, a retail market, a pool, a drive-thru coffee stand, and inviting outdoor gathering spaces.

Additionally, guests will have access to Rising Sun Golf Course, an 18-hole Johnny Miller-designed championship-level course located at Mountain Sky Guest Ranch.

Just a 20-minute drive from Yellowstone National Park, Auster's riverfront location sits on over 6,000 acres, offering a blend of unspoiled terrain and thoughtfully designed experiences, ensuring visitors can enjoy the outdoors while preserving its natural beauty. Guests will have access to a variety of activities across the property, including guided hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife as well as whitewater rafting and guided fishing trips through local business partnerships. There are plenty of opportunities for adventure in the heart of Yellowstone Country. The Gallatin National Forest, Yellowstone National Park, the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains, the Crazy Mountains, the Bridger Mountains, and the Gallatin Canyon area all provide excellent opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, and camping. Big Creek and the mighty Yellowstone River offer fishing, rafting, and kayaking opportunities. Livingston is a 45-minute drive and offers a quaint downtown with great restaurants and a vibrant artistic community. Bozeman is an hour drive and is home to Montana State University and the Museum of the Rockies, as well as a great variety of coffee shops, stores, restaurants, and bars. Local haunts like the Pine Creek Lodge, The Old Saloon in Emigrant, and Chico Hot Springs are always staff favorites, and feature live music and great food without the long drive.

Job DescriptionAs a Reservations & Guest Experience Team, you'll be the first point of contact for future guests, guiding them from their initial inquiry through arrival and through departure. This role plays a key part in shaping the guest experience before guests ever step on property. You'll assist with reservations, pre-arrival planning, and personalized recommendations, helping guests make the most of their time in Paradise Valley and Yellowstone National Park. This position blends hospitality and sales, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in creating thoughtful, well-planned stays

Key Responsibilities

Reservations & Sales:

  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone, email and online channels in a timely and professional manner
  • Guide guests in selecting accommodations, dates, and experiences that best fit their needs
  • Convert inquiries into confirmed bookings while supporting overall revenue goals
  • Promote on-property offerings, packages, and activities to enhance guest stays
  • Encourage advance booking of dining, activities, and experiences

Guest Experience & Pre-Arrival Planning:

  • Support pre-arrival communication, including confirmations, reminders, and planning assistance
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on Yellowstone, Paradise Valley, and seasonal activities
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer suggestions to elevate their stay
  • Assist with coordinating restaurant reservations, guided activities, and special requests

Reservations & Administrative Support:

  • Accurately enter and manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations in the property management system (PMS)
  • Maintain detailed guest profiles, including preferences and special requests
  • Monitor reservation systems and report discrepancies or technical issues
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks, reporting, and internal coordination

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with operations, housekeeping, and guest services to ensure smooth arrivals and departures
  • Communicate guest preferences and important details across departments
  • Follow established service standards, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

  • 1-3 Years of experience in hospitality, reservations, customer service, or a related field preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using technology, booking systems, and digital tools
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in travel, outdoor recreation, or the Yellowstone region is a plus
