Job description

Job Title- IT Services Specialist

Project Location Onsite in Mechanicsburg, PA

Duration- 12+ months contract

Visa- USC/GC ONLY

Note- Candidates must be able to come onsite Day 1. The selected candidate must work on-site for initial six weeks before being eligible for two days REMOTE per week.

Description: This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in advanced technical work within our dynamic IT Services team. You will delve into programming, configuration, design, and analysis of a complex and diverse IT infrastructure. This includes cutting edge technologies like FS Local Traffic Managers, Microsoft Failover Clusters, Azure AD/Microsoft Entra, and VMware for server virtualization, among others. Your work will be predominantly focused on the design, configuration, and analysis of our IT Services infrastructure, comprising 70% of your responsibilities, while the remaining 30% will involve operation and support. Join us on this journey, where your contributions will shape our infrastructure and enhance our overall service delivery!

Job Duties:

  • Installs, configures, programs, and maintains a wide array of infrastructure services and applications. This includes FS Local Traffic Managers, Microsoft Failover Clustering, Azure AD/Microsoft Entra, VMware, and leverage tools like Windows PowerShell and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Develops and researches design specifications for the architecture and deployment of enterprise-class services that the entire enterprise relies on; performs advanced integration activities to ensure the proper operation of IT services and infrastructure across the organization.
  • Creates programs to automate the administration of complex IT services and delivers customized solutions for customers. Collaborates with IT infrastructure teams to aid in the development, debugging, and successful implementation of these programs.
  • Develops methods for collecting and analyzing server performance and service delivery data and recommends improvements and optimizations.
  • Creates and maintains ongoing communication and rapport with key technical leads from all Judicial Automation teams that rely on the IT Services environment.
  • Transforms user and business requirements into technical solutions; conducts independent, vendor, and project research to create standardized and customized solutions that fulfill established requirements.
  • Performs level two and some level three problem management for the IT Services team, addressing complex network, server, application, and infrastructure-level issues individually and in collaboration with other technical teams as needed.
  • Acts as a senior technical member of the IT Services team for incident management; collaborates with team members to ensure effective coordination and communication with management and other technical leaders.
  • Interfaces with CMS application team leads, coordinates system activities closely, and ensures that the IT Services team delivers the required results.
  • Performs system and software patching and updating firmware. This includes installing server hardware and operating systems and configuring the application environments for all applications, servers, services, and products within the IT Services team portfolio.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field. Minimum of one year of IT technical experience in network operations and maintenance.
  • A satisfactory criminal check is required (to be completed by Client)

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with FS Local Traffic Managers, Microsoft Failover Clusters, Azure AD/Microsoft Entra, and VMware
  • Experience with Windows PowerShell Scripting Manager
