About the Role
We are seeking a Sommelier of exceptional pedigree to steward one of the capital's most prestigious wine programs. This role is designed for a true connoisseur-one who possesses the technical depth to manage an elite wine list featuring rare vintages, vertical collections, and blue-chip labels. You will serve as the primary liaison and guide between our world-class inventory and a highly sophisticated UHNW membership that expects nothing less than a perfect pour every time.
Principal (Essential) Duties
  • Oversee an extensive, high-valuation wine collection
  • Provide bespoke tableside guidance for a membership group with highly educated palates.
  • Continuously evolve a wine list that balances iconic global estates with exclusive, small-production allocations that cannot be found elsewhere.
  • Leverage deep industry relationships and global networks to secure rare allocations and off-list products, ensuring the club maintains a competitive advantage of Its wine offerings.
  • Maintain absolute precision in cellar conditions, organization, and inventory controls, ensuring that high-valuation assets are preserved and accounted for with the highest level of care.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef to design intricate pairing menus that challenge and delight the most discerning palates.
  • Serve as a mentor to the service team, fostering a culture of excellence through sophisticated training and tasting sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in private club, private UHNW facility, or elite fine dining environments required.
    • Experience in Grand Award winning programs highly preferred
  • Profound and expert knowledge of the world's most celebrated wine regions and collections required.
  • Experience managing seven-figure wine collections required.
  • Past experience and success navigating the social nuances of a UHNW environment with poise and complete discretion.
  • CMS Advanced Sommelier or WSET Diploma highly preferred.

The base salary pay range for this role is $74,400 -$97,650, depending on relevant experience and qualifications, in addition to a generous full-suite benefits package offering.
