What You'll Do
This role offers variety, hands-on problem solving, and exposure to a variety of heavy equipment, along with occasional support in rigging and crane operations. In this role, you will:
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on cranes and heavy equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including advanced electronics
  • Work on engines, booms, brakes, tires, and hydraulic components
  • Handle equipment breakdowns and repairs across the branch fleet
  • Use tools like IFS systems, tablets, and crane-specific software to track work
  • Support both shop and field work, including job sites as needed

What You Bring
We're looking for mechanics who are hands-on, dependable, and ready to solve problems.
Required:
  • 3-4+ years of experience with cranes, diesel, or heavy equipment
  • Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Experience reading schematics and working with electronics
  • Mechanically minded with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:
  • Experience working on cranes (RT or truck cranes)
  • Background with heavy equipment (CAT, John Deere, etc.)
  • Strong electrical/"board-level" diagnostic experience
  • Team player with a go-getter attitude
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Additional Expectations:
  • Ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for field work

Work Environment
  • Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 40 hours/week with overtime opportunities
  • Mostly local work with minimal travel
  • Shop-based role with some outdoor and job site work
