Re:Build Battery Solutions is part of Re:Build Manufacturing, a family of industrial businesses combining cutting-edge enabling technologies, operational superiority, and strategic M&A to build America's next-generation industrial company.
Who we are looking for
As an Electrical Engineer at Re:Build, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of advanced lithium-ion battery systems. You will be responsible for defining system architecture, creating electrical schematics, selecting and integrating electronics hardware, and performing critical thermal and power dissipation analyses. Your expertise will directly influence key technical decisions that enable Re:Build to deliver safe, high-performance battery modules and packs across automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, and industrial applications.
You will support all phases of the program lifecycle - from concept design through prototyping, validation, and launch - working cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams. Success in this role requires strong technical fundamentals, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
What you get to do
  • Develop Electrical System Architecture: Define and document high- and low-voltage distribution, interfaces, and protection systems for battery packs.
  • Create Electrical Schematics: Own the schematic design of battery pack systems, including sensors, contactors, fuses, connectors, harnesses, and control electronics.
  • Select and Integrate Electronics Hardware: Evaluate and specify components such as current sensors, power electronics, microcontrollers, and supporting hardware for safety, performance, and manufacturability.
