Job description

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Business Analytics Lead Analyst for its Irving, TX location.
Duties: End-to-end support of retail bank decisioning through advanced analytics to design and optimize marketing strategies for retail banking products. Execute structured statistical testing and controlled design of experimentation frameworks to evaluate customer behavioral responses and optimize strategic initiatives through data-driven performance recommendations supported by quantifiable business metrics such as Balances, responders and average balances per customer. Establish and maintain Business As Usual (BAU) operating frameworks to support sustained performance of retail banking products and marketing portfolios while creating quarterly strategic and capital planning processes. Design and implement customer segmentation and behavioral analytics frameworks across transactional, digital, and profile-based datasets to support customer growth, engagement optimization, deposit deepening, and customer retention strategies. Engage with evaluation of offer and campaign performance through short-term and long-term behavioral and performance trend analysis, identifying risks to customer and balance retention and developing expansion and retention strategy to support portfolio stability and preventing hard/soft customer and balance attrition. Maintain risk, governance, and control documentation to support analytical methodologies and ensure alignment with internal risk and model governance standards. Develop forecasting and model financial simulation based scenarios to support program investment assessments, capital planning decisions, and long-term portfolio viability. Support financial review and approval processes to monitor profitability, risk-adjusted performance, and strategic funding priorities across retail banking initiatives. Build and maintain performance measurement and reporting frameworks to evaluate multi-channel retail marketing initiatives, developing and automating KPI dashboards using Excel, Tableau, and SQL. Translate complex data trends into business insights and executive ready materials to support senior leadership decision-making and cross-functional collaboration. Perform advanced analytical deep dives to validate hypotheses, improve predictive insights across customer behavior and attrition patterns, and identify business growth opportunities. Design and maintain automated data extraction, preprocessing, and transformation processes to improve data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and reliable BAU reporting delivery execution. Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques using tools like Python, SAS, SQL, and Excel to support strategic and business expansion decision-making and portfolio optimization. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative occupation performing advanced data analytics and business analytics to support strategy development and optimization of marketing and product initiatives. Six (6) years of experience must include: Understanding of statistical experimentation and market testing methodologies, including A/B testing and Design of Experiments, for customer segmentation and measurement of customer sensitivity across products, offers, and channels; Proficiency in statistical experimental design, financial simulation modeling, and forecasting techniques to support portfolio and program performance evaluation; Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Tableau, and SQL, including drill-down and customization capabilities; Analyze customer behavior using statistical methods and tools such as SQL, Python, SAS, and Excel to identify growth opportunities and market insights; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, analytics, and risk/governance to support decision-making frameworks and documentation processes; and Capability to optimize data workflows and reporting processes by improving query efficiency, resolving bottlenecks, and enabling scalable delivery of business performance metrics.
