Job Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for a Control Engineer located in Mocksville, NC. The Control Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving control systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing process control improvements. The role involves working with electrical systems, motion control, and robotics to enhance operational efficiency and ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Back up all programs, hook up laptop to PLC to assure proper operation
  • Assist maintenance techs to resolve problems when needed
  • Perform maintenance duties as needed
  • Perform modifications on machines including fabricating new parts as needed
  • Communicate with corporate controls engineer to resolve problems
  • Analyze functions of older or failing parts/software to determine proper solution
  • Advise and train maintenance employees
  • Quality - Ensures quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely
  • Safety - follows company procedures and uses material and equipment per manufacturers' directions



What you'll bring?

  • Employee must have A.A.S. degree or higher in electronics engineering or related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Additionally, he/she must possess good problem-solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts and applications
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens industrial automation programs S7 TIA portal (Required)
  • Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success.
  • Hands-on expertise in Troubleshooting equipment and systems
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Relevant certifications or prior experience with non-woven fabric production processes is a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
