ADP is hiring a Team Lead.
In this role, the Team Lead, under the guidance of a Client Service Manager/Payroll Manager, provides support and coaching to and serves as an escalation point to a team of Payroll Specialists and Client Service Consultants in servicing clients and processing client's payrolls. The Team Lead must be able to influence tasks and deliverables for team members without direct reporting relationships.
The team lead provides high level technical application software support and coaching to resolve client escalations and other technical issues raised in the areas of system set up, product functionality, and payroll processing. The team lead coaches team members on the delivery of stellar service to build and improve client satisfaction and retention.
To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable in a client facing role leading a team of payroll specialists as part of a structured day. You have a way with clients that builds rapport, establishes trust, and shines with professionalism. Over the phone and in writing, your communication style is clear and easy for our clients to understand and take action on. As a result, your client satisfaction scores make you proud. What you'll do:
What you can expect on a typical day:
  • Functional Responsibility
    • Manage the entire workflow of the Payroll team towards successful service delivery to one or more clients
    • Make decisions with a thorough understanding of client payroll processing and daily checklist to monitor complete accuracy of payroll
    • Ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed to deliver on the execution of the entire payroll cycle
  • Leadership
    • Influence task deliverables for team members without direct reporting relationships
    • Support the training and mentoring of Payroll Specialists' on job requirements, product functionality and service delivery techniques
  • Client Service Delivery
    • Build relationships of trust, respect and partnership with clients and Client retain team by providing World Class Service
    • Attend and actively participate in client conference calls or onsite visits as required by management

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer service environment or as an HR/HRIS practitioner with systems experience.

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:
  • Experience noted above, OR
  • Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team and client relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.
