Job Title: Human Resource Assistant

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Human Resource Director

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resource department's daily operations. This position involves a range of administrative and clerical tasks, including certified payroll reporting, safety gear distribution, recruiting and onboarding assistance, digital document management, and various other HR-related duties. The Human Resource Assistant is expected to work closely with the HR Director and other team members to ensure the smooth functioning of HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Certified Payroll Reporting: Responsible for accurately reporting certified payroll on a weekly basis using the LCP (Labor Condition Application) tracker.

Safety Gear Issuance: Distribute safety gear and equipment to employees as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Recruiting and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, scheduling interviews, and assisting with the onboarding process for new employees.

Digital Document Management: Scan and file digital documents into employee files, maintaining organized and up-to-date records.

Audit Support: Collaborate with the HR Director in conducting audits, safety meetings, and other compliance-related activities.

ADP Application Support: Provide assistance to employees in resetting passwords and resolving login issues for the ADP (Automatic Data Processing) application.

SHRM Event Attendance: Attend monthly events organized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Benefit and 401K Enrollment: Assist employees with benefit enrollment and 401K enrollment processes, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.

Monthly Celebrations: Coordinate and manage monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations, including preparing forms and mailings.

Employment Notifications: Prepare and distribute monthly benefit and 401K employment notifications to employees.

Clerical Duties: Perform miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned on a case-by-case basis to support the HR department's objectives.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR software (e.g., ADP).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
