POSITION TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES

REPORTS TO: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER


SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Assist HR Manager with administrative duties and compile and keep personnel records. Manage data for each employee, such as daily attendance, absences, vacation allotments, and date of and reason for termination. Compile and type reports from employment records. File employment records. Search employee files and furnish information to authorized persons. Payroll processing weekly and semi-monthly. Ensures the company adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

  • Manage ADP HRIS system
  • Interview candidates for hire
  • Review daily time entries and adjust/finalize employee time for payroll processing
  • Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll in ADP
  • Control all new employee paperwork from applications, on-boarding and orientation down to termination
  • Oversee attendance and vacation spreadsheet to record employee work days, absences, vacation and perfect attendance compliance
  • Manage and process all paperwork for evaluations and salary increases
  • Manage and maintain employee FMLA/ ADA process and recordkeeping
  • Manage and maintain employee Benefits process and recordkeeping
  • Assist in compensation plans
  • Assist in employee training
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Coordinates all employee events and meals


SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities

  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business and/or other related field preferred or minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR related field
