Hargrave Military Academy is seeking a highly creative, energetic, and motivated Creative Media Specialist to help tell our story.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on creating compelling content, enjoys being around athletics and student life, and has a passion for producing professional-quality media that captures the excitement of our campus every day.

If you are equally comfortable behind a camera, editing videos, designing graphics, and managing social media, we want to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality promotional videos highlighting athletics, academics, cadet life, admissions, and special events.
  • Capture professional photography of athletic competitions, campus events, ceremonies, classrooms, and student activities.
  • Create engaging graphics for social media, recruiting, athletics, advancement, admissions, and marketing.
  • Manage and grow Hargrave Military Academy's social media platforms with creative and consistent content.
  • Develop reels, highlight videos, promotional campaigns, and short-form content optimized for Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Work closely with Athletics, Admissions, Advancement, and Academic departments to tell Hargrave's story.
  • Assist with live event coverage, interviews, and special productions.
  • Maintain an organized digital media library.
  • Help strengthen and maintain Hargrave's visual brand across all communications.
Qualifications
  • Experience in videography and video editing.
  • Strong photography skills.
  • Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar software.
  • Experience managing social media accounts for an organization, school, business, or athletic program.
  • Excellent storytelling ability through digital media.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends during athletic events and special campus activities.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000, with placement within the range based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. Hargrave Military Academy offers an excellent benefits package and the opportunity to be part of a mission-driven educational community.
