Job description

Responsibilities

Discover a different side of nursing care at Turning Point!

Intake/Admissions Nurse 

We are currently seeking RNs to work PRN in the Intake/Admissions department. The RN promotes a therapeutic milieu and provides quality patient care. Collaborates with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point. Our Intake/Admissions RNs work with potential patients, referral sources, and medical providers over the phone and with new patients in person.

  • Responding expeditiously to patient referrals
  • Review of patient records
  • Processing patient admissions
  • Patient assessments
  • Obtaining admission approvals 

PRN days and hours can vary. Shift hours for full-length shifts may be 10:00am to 10:00pm, 2:00pm to 2:00am, and/or 7:00pm to 7:00am. Please let us know your shift preferences at the interview.

Qualifications
  • Experience in substance abuse / mental health treatment, preferred.
  • Understanding of commercial and Medicare insurances 
  • Knowledge of patient level of care requirements
  • Licensed by the State of Georgia (good standing) as a Registered Nurse/RN 
  • BLS/CPR Certified
