Process Admission Applications

  • Verify payment of application fee with the Accounting Office
  • Enter applications, received through paper or spreadsheet, into Admissions Application System
  • Troubleshoot problems applicants experience using the online application
  • Email applicants concerning incomplete applications with instructions on how to complete and properly submit application, including students with payment pending

Manage Data & Documentation

  • Assign temporary Student Numbers for students without a Government ID in Admissions & University systems as necessary
  • Oversee & maintain document imaging systems for the Office of Admissions
  • Point person for student application semester and major change requests
  • Process application error reports and name change reports

Support Admissions & Recruitment Front Desk & Office Operations

  • Provide assistance with incoming questions concerning but not limited to:
    • Admission Requirements
    • Status of Applications
    • Academic Programs
    • Admission Policies
    • Documentation Required for Admission
  • Transfer phone calls to appropriate individuals when needed
  • Check main office email, answering questions and forwarding questions, as needed.
  • Forward transcripts and admission documentation to Admissions Operations Coordinator
  • Maintain and organize recruiting material, notifying the Director of Recruiting when supply is low and order should be made
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues such as complete applications with no admission decision, staff student meeting calendar conflicts, and coverage of front desk
  • Maintain office equipment such as copiers, printers, computers, folding machine - notifying proper personnel if repairs are needed
  • Print and mail yield, application, and recruitment correspondence to admits, applicants, student inquiries, and professional inquires

Support Department Needs

  • Assist on special projects as needed by the Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management
  • Assist with Recruitment Events as needed per the Department. Events may occur both during the work week or occasional weekend
  • All other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management
Qualifications
  • Office management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to independently analyze data and make decisions.
  • Ability to multi-task, while remaining organized.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve goals.
  • Clear driving record with a Louisiana's driver's license.
