About the roleKey Roles and Responsibilities:

Platform Management & Configuration:

  • Perform day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Salesforce instance to align with evolving business needs.
  • Create and maintain custom objects, fields, formulas, workflows, validation rules, and Process Builder and Flows to automate business processes.
  • Manage user profiles, roles, permissions, public groups, Organization-Wide Defaults, sharing rules, and security settings to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Assist our Sales Department with designing and maintaining lead assignment rules, opportunity workflows, and territory management to drive sales execution.
  • Conduct proactive system maintenance, including health checks, release readiness, and security reviews.
  • Participate in scoping and delivering prioritized configuration work.
  • Manage release/deployments of enhancements.

User Support & Training

  • Provide first-line support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Act as a Salesforce subject matter expert and trusted advisor for all internal users.
  • Support user onboarding/offboarding processes and access management.
  • Facilitate training sessions and create documentation to support staff in adopting new functionalities.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Oversee and analyze data to ensure data hygiene and integrity.
  • Perform bulk data updates, deduplication, and cleansing of data.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide valuable, actionable insights for decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Manage Salesforce data feeds, imports, and other integrations.
  • Manage integrations with various tools such as Gong, HubSpot, and Slack to enable real-time data flow and automation.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (including Sales, Marketing, Services, and Finance) to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes.
  • Work closely with the IT System Administrators to ensure consistent practices and methodologies are used.
  • Work closely with internal Stakeholders and any external vendors (e.g. Salesforce Development teams) to support the delivery of new features and enhancements.
  • Assist with UAT, testing coordination, and sandbox validation for deployments.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes through configuration or automation.
  • Create and maintain documentation and playbooks for workflows, data flows, and system configurations to ensure long-term governance and clarity.

Skills and Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Foundations certification is required.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator certification, or the commitment to obtaining it within one year, is required.
  • Salesforce Certified System Architect certification is highly desirable.
  • Additional Salesforce certifications such as Agentforce Specialist, Business Analyst, or Platform Developer are considered a plus.
  • Any Information Technology-related certifications are considered an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator managing Salesforce environments.
  • Proven experience managing Salesforce environments supporting 100+ users for Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
  • Experience managing a small development team or working with outside consultants is a plus.
  • Experience with Agentforce, Data Cloud, Revenue Cloud,
  • Advanced skills in building custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, reports, and dashboards.  
  • Proficiency in applying advanced automation to solve complex business problems using Process Builder and Flows.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations with 3rd party systems via API and their implications.
  • Skilled in data manipulation via Data Loader or similar tools.
  • Experience with QA/UAT in sandbox environments and using change sets/deployment tools (e.g., Gearset) to deploy to production.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in structured change management.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.) with expert-level skills preferred.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and ServiceNow is a strong asset.
  • Experience with development languages like Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOQL, and SOSL is a plus.
