Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant within the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration.
The Administrative Assistant provides advanced administrative and operational support for assigned academic departments within the Wall College of Business. This position serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, students, staff, and external stakeholders while coordinating departmental operations, supporting instructional activities, maintaining records and documentation, and assisting with fiscal and administrative processes

Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinating and administering daily administrative operations for assigned academic departments.
  • Maintaining departmental records and ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with university policies and procedures.
  • Supporting departmental fiscal activities, including procurement, travel processing, expenditure tracking, and related administrative functions.
  • Assisting faculty with instructional and academic operations, including schedules, course-related documentation, and routine operational support.
  • Planning and coordinating department meetings, advisory board meetings, committee activities, and special events.
  • Preparing, distributing, and maintaining official meeting materials, records, and minutes.
  • Providing functional oversight and guidance to student employees and graduate assistants.
  • Serving as a resource for faculty, students, staff, and visitors by responding to inquiries and facilitating administrative processes.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Administrative Assistant (AA75/61122447), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Grade: GEN06. Salary range: $37,200.00 (minimum) to $48,300.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
