Job Summary
This role supports EFNEP operations across nine Black Belt counties where the program is actively implemented. This position will provide high-level support to EFNEP staff, including the Director, County Coordinator, and Nutrition Educators. They will play a vital role in ensuring the program runs smoothly by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and facilitating effective communication among team members and community partners. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to EFNEP, including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and meeting coordination for staff.
  • Draft, review, and edit correspondence, data reports, and various documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain well-organized records and filing systems to ensure efficient access to critical data and information.
  • Coordinate all travel arrangements for the Director and staff, including preparing requisitions and reimbursements for lodging, transportation.
  • Attend meetings, take detailed notes, and prepare and distribute meeting minutes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external data communications, responding to inquiries from the funding agency and directing them to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in the development of presentations and reports for in-service meetings/trainings and community outreach events.
  • Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, deliverables, and progress toward program goals.
  • Learn to be very familiar with the online EFNEP WebNeers data system.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience of a minimum of four years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community based organization.
  • A valid driver's license and access to an automobile for travel for EFNEP training in the counties.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to view a computer terminal
