Administrative Assistant Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant position provides secretarial and administrative support to the department. Performs and coordinates office activities to ensure that information is disseminated to staff. Managers, professionals, and other support staff rely on this position to keep administrative operations under control. Must be proficient in keyboarding and have excellent spelling, punctuation, grammar and oral communication skills. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and database management programs is required.

Administrative Assistant Position Requirements

Education

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Advanced training/education in computers and office procedures would be preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years secretarial/administrative experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Other requirements include: Word, Internet Explorer, Excel, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, and ability to be flexible.
