Job description

Position Summary

The Business Intern supports the administrative and operational functions of Hilltop Ski Area. The role provides exposure to core business functions including administration, human resources, marketing, accounting, and executive-level support. The intern will assist with day-to-day organizational tasks and contribute to cross-departmental projects under supervision.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administration & Executive Support

  • Assist with general administrative operations including document preparation, filing, and data organization
  • Support scheduling, internal communications, and meeting coordination
  • Assist the General Manager and administrative staff with reporting and project management

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation
  • Maintain and organize employee records and HR files
  • Support coordination of training materials and internal communications
  • Assist with HR-related administrative processes as assigned

Marketing Support

  • Assist with preparation and scheduling of marketing content
  • Support social media, email communications, and promotional materials
  • Help organize digital assets including photos and program content
  • Assist with basic updates to marketing materials and website content

Accounting & Finance Support

  • Assist with data entry, invoice tracking, and recordkeeping
  • Support organization of financial documentation and spreadsheets
  • Assist with basic budget tracking and reporting under supervision
  • Help maintain accuracy of financial records and filing systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current enrollment in a post-secondary program
  • Must be actively pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
