North Central Utility (NCU) is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Assistant Service Manager for our DeForest, WI location to represent NCU in the semi-trailer service industry. 

This position is a safety-sensitive position, requiring pre-employment and post-accident drug testing.

Wage & Benefits: 

• $75,000-$90,000 based on experience + monthly performance-based commissions

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Assist in overseeing service department operation  

• Assist in managing service technicians 

• Assist in managing all shop repair orders 

• Motivate & lead through team excellence and work ethic 

• Assist in department/staff training using industry best practices 

• Act as a liaison between parts, sales & service 

• Attend industry workshops as needed 

• Effectively manage executing on projects at the store level 

• Accurate and timely completion of paperwork 

• Maintain department files

• Estimating and quoting 

• Work with other department managers 

• Assist wherever needed in department 

• Develop and leverage relationships with key decision makers 

• Assist managing building maintenance 

• Educate customers on NCU services and identify customer needs and opportunities 

• Strong customer negotiation skills 

• Promote and build relationships with customers 

• Promote a safety-first workplace 

• Warranty administration 

• Assist Service Manager as needed

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

• Previous experience in a related field preferred 

• Experience leading and managing people preferred 

• Able to work independently and with a team

• Interpersonal skills and ability to professionally communicate with customers

• Excellent planning, organization, time management, attention to detail, and adaptability to change

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), technology, and computer proficiency

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Driving Requirements: 

• Driving is a duty of this job 

• Driver's License (Required)

With Moore Space, we offer temporary storage container solutions as well. Our parts department has an extensive inventory in Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. Our broad product line and geographic coverage ensures we are a “One Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts. Our service department offers everything from routine maintenance, certified DOT inspections to precision laser alignment, as well as complete wreck repair for trailers of all makes and models. No job is too big or too small for our skilled service technicians.
