Gurstel Law Firm P.C. - Legal Administration-Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY The Legal Administrative Assistant Manager position will plan, direct, and coordinate supportive services of the organization, and requires an advanced level of legal knowledge and experience.

This position will assist the Legal Administration Manager in supervising staff and performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Day-to-day operations of the Administrative Department.
  • Involvement in staffing decision
  • Interact frequently with attorneys.
  • Interacts regularly and comprehensively with other departments.
  • Time and attendance tracking.
  • Troubleshooting of problem files.
  • Create, maintain, and review SOPs to comply with internal and external standards
  • Training new and existing staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Paralegal certificate or 4-year college degree. (experience may be substituted for education)
  • 1-year supervision experience
  • An individual versed in the Legal Collections Process preferred
  • Familiarity with using database for file maintenance.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Responsible individual who is able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook, PDF and WordPerfect. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with basic office hardware such as scanners, fax machine, copiers, etc.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time; bend, lift, or carry up to 20 pounds; answer and make telephone calls; utilize keyboard and mouse.
