* Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights.
Responsible for obtaining authorizations and medical records. Greeting patients from other departments and assisting registration in assuring patients get registered in a timely manner for all Radiology outpatients . Serve as the front office contact, distributing high volumes of incoming calls while scheduling patient procedures and obtaining appropriate information from physicians' offices and central registration in addition to maintaining the flow of care for patients. Handles multiple software applications to maintain an electronic patient record including burning CD's. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
Preferred Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience and familiarity with medical terminology and typing skills
Minimum Experience: 6 - 12 months in an outpatient or hospital based service with patient procedure scheduling responsibility
Preferred Experience: 2 years in an outpatient or hospital radiology department with patient procedure scheduling responsibility
