Job description

Haltom City is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team at City Hall in Haltom City, TX. This full-time, in-office role offers a competitive salary range of $70,977 to $106,466 annually ($34.12 per hour). The Payroll Administrator will play an essential role, ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on time, and upholding the highest standards of payroll compliance for the City.

YOUR ROLE AS A PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

In this role, you will make sure all city employees receive their pay accurately and on time. You will keep detailed records, prepare reports as needed, manage employee updates, and respond to questions about pay. You will follow all rules and regulations and assist with audits when needed. You will also handle benefits and deductions, helping everything run smoothly for the City.


YOUR SCHEDULE

The regular work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position is full-time and requires attendance at the Haltom City City Hall office.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Experience managing payroll changes and addressing employee inquiries
  • Commitment to supporting audits and administering related benefits and deductions
  • Ability to maintain records and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) (preferred)
