Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Provide general admin/office support.
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent, proactive customer service to all guests including accurate information to telephone and in- person questions regarding Chapman University and our facilities
  • Commitment to teamwork, customer service, collaboration, and providing service to students
  • Assist with overseeing organization and professional presentation of front desk
  • Assess the CCC space to provide visual security of the facilities and their furnishings/equipment; monitor and address potential safety/liability problems; report repair needs; maintain all shared facilities spaces clean and organized throughout the day; implement/assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure all equipment and furnishings are working properly and that facilities are clean and tidy
  • Ensure appropriate use and return of conference rooms technology bins and all CCC resources
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and collaborations of CCC and campus wide programming including but not limited to academic workshops/presentations, trainings, identity/cultural national heritage/history months (i.e., LGBTQIA+, Black, Native, APIDA, Women's, Latinx) CCC Senior graduation celebration and other social events/programming for the student body
  • Assist with the promotion of programs and services and provide support for activities and events taking place in the facility, ensuring all events are implemented in accordance with university policy
  • Post signs, daily schedules, and other administrative tasks as required
  • Attend all scheduled CCC Staff meetings and departmental training sessions
  • Serve as a representative for the CCC at campus-wide involvement fairs, tabling events, and other sessions as determined by professional staff
  • Assist with social media efforts via Canva, Carousel, Panther Connect, and Instagram
  • Participate in and contribute to CCC programs, services, experiences, and resources as determined by supervisor.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, work independently, and hold high standards of dependability and accountability
  • Assist with the Office of First Gen & Promising Futures Programs, Early Outreach Initiatives by leading campus tours, participating in student panels, and inspiring K-12 students to pursue higher education.
  • Other Duties as assigned by professional staff
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience working directly with student union facilities and/or student involvement programming
  • Familiarity with departments and organizations at Chapman
  • Event planning and execution experience
  • Familiarity with AV/Tech systems
  • Knowledge of or experience with campus policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, 25Live, Carousel, Cascade
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
  • Ability to lift objects of 30 lbs
