Description

Role Mission: IDEA Interns will provide administrative and logistical support to our Marketing and Enrollment teams in the effort to serve our mission of college for all students.  As these departments are part of the National Team, work locations will be at one of various regional offices throughout Texas, with most work being done remotely.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Able to work 20-25 hours a week
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work a nontraditional schedule (evenings, weekends, select holidays) as needed
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker strongly preferred, but not required
 
Marketing Project Support:
 
  • Support several key marketing initiatives including, but not limited to:
    • Backpacks for Bright Futures Project
    • Region & Campus Highlight Pages
    • IDEA Campus Directory Update
    • BOG Box Support
    • Community Partnerships Project
  • Intern will collaborate with Marketing Managers and Director to align on project vision, scope, and sequence
  • Intern will research and contribute ideas to each project plan
  • Interns will work across various internal departments to ensure the execution of all next-steps from the project plan(s)
  • Interns will assist in creating tasks and requests in our project management software (Wrike), and tracking the timely delivery of each
  • Interns will assist in weekly tracking / reporting of each project’s status and percent completion
  • Interns will assist with student and staff recruitment and enrollment efforts as needed
  • Interns to support with kitting BOG Box materials as needed
 
Be ready to support campuses and/or regions as needed. Travel (including possibly some air travel) may be involved.
 
Administrative Support 
 
  • Planning, logistics and execution for project and tasks
  • Analyzing data and feedback, reporting  
  • Organizing boxes and packing slips  
  • Admin / clerical support
  • Data entry & reporting
 
Other Duties as Assigned
 
Most of the time on the clock is expected to be in a supportive role with the Marketing Team; however, as a member of the Operations Team, interns may be asked to support the following campus Beginning of Year (BOY) prep:
 
  • Inventory support.
  • Package sorting
  • Annual Forms Collection
  • ADA calls
  • Assist families with New Applications, Registration and Re-registrations via phone calls or in person
  • Event Coordination/ Family Communications
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
 
Job Specifications:
  • Commitment:  May 2025 – August 2025
  • Location: Live within an existing IDEA Texas Region
  • Compensation: $10.00-$12.00 per hour depending on region
  • Hours: afternoon, nights and weekend * Flexible depending on tasks
