Job description

PURPOSE

 

To provide the Distribution Center (DC) Network with short- and medium-term forecasts to enable strong operational planning. Manage activities to achieve plans, supporting DC SLAs, cost targets, and North America (NAM) commercial expectations. Lead weekly S&OE meetings with stakeholders, coordinate efforts to resolve capacity constraints that could put commercial goals at risk, and maintain accuracy of data collected and reported in OVOTT reports (One Version Of The Truth). 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

FULFILLMENT PLANNING

  • Collate short- to medium-term (1–11 month) packing and shipping forecasts for NAM DCs from NAM SCM channel SPOCs and manage actions to achieve NAM COTIF targets. 
  • Publish forecasts in Power BI to create one version of the truth (OVOTT) for DCs and NAM SCM, including overloads to DC capacity. 
  • Review current month’s forecasts for all DCs regularly and collaborate with NAM SCM channel SPOCs to revise forecasts as needed. 
  • Monitor trends in delivery note creation, invoicing, and ready for collection against DC forecasts and drive corrective actions to achieve forecast. 
  • Monitor capacity constraints and coordinate actions to mitigate risk. 
  • Lead weekly S&OE/Fulfillment Execution meetings and monthly Fulfillment Review meetings, collecting input from cross-functional teams. 
  • Coordinate meetings to review forecast accuracy, identify variance drivers, estimate costs, and explore improvements to accuracy and stability. 
  • Create and publish backlog reporting for DCs and NAM SCM. 

 

INVENTORY AND STORAGE

  • Collate updated inbound data, fulfillment plans, and on-hand inventory to create and publish the Storage Projection Model. 
  • Align with Strategic and Tactical Deployment teams on significant supply shifts not yet reflected in inbound or on-hand inventory data to make manual updates to the Storage Projection Model. 
  • Align with DC leaders quarterly on storage capacity assumptions used in the model. 
  • Prepare content for the monthly NAM Network Update with the NAM SCM SLT, as delegated by Sr. Manager. 
  • Partner with Distribution Center Operations and Inventory teams to identify, analyze, and track aging and slow‑moving inventory across the DC network.  
  • Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards (Power BI/Excel) that highlight DC level inventory aging trends, slow‑moving SKUs, and hash articles. 

 

 

DAILY OPERATIONS

  • Continuously improve processes and system infrastructure to reduce costs and improve COTA/COTIF. 
  • Initiate and drive further system developments, defining functional enhancements in current and new SCM systems. 
  • Lead projects and manage Fulfillment Planning deliverables, defining timelines and milestones. 
  • Continue advancing the OVOTT dashboard. 
  • Ad hoc reporting as requested by manager or senior leaders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in business, information systems, logistics, operations, or equivalent experience 
  • 3–5 years of supply chain management experience 
  • Warehouse/distribution experience 
  • Strong ERP (SAP)/WMS and Microsoft Office skills 
  • Advanced Excel skills required 
  • Strong Power BI and SQL skills required 
  • Working knowledge of Databricks and Power Automate 
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

  • At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday.  The working location of this position is Portland, OR.
