Job description
At adidas, we never launch a product unless we consider it perfect.
Our product creation teams bring together consumer insight, design excellence, technical expertise, and commercial ambition to create products that perform at the highest level and connect with golfers around the world. Every product is shaped through thoughtful strategy, disciplined execution, and a commitment to delivering meaningful consumer and business impact.
The Manager, Product Marketing (Golf Accessories) manages assigned portions of the global adidas Golf Accessories range across golf bags, gloves, headwear, socks, belts, and related categories. This role translates category direction, consumer insights, and commercial requirements into clear product briefs, line plans, and seasonal deliverables from concept through commercialization and launch.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Product Marketing - Accessories, this role serves as the primary working-level Product Marketing lead for assigned products. The Manager partners closely with Design, Product Development, Materials Development, Go-to-Market, Commercial, Finance, and Market teams to drive hands-on product creation, milestone readiness, product-data accuracy, and timely execution against approved category objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Seasonal Product Management: Manage assigned Accessories products from seasonal planning and brief creation through commercialization, launch, and lifecycle management.
Product Briefing: Create and maintain product briefs, line plans, range tools, and seasonal documentation covering consumer needs, product benefits, price points, margin expectations, timing, and competitive context.
Range Planning: Support seasonal range architecture, assortment recommendations, article planning, and product lifecycle decisions within the strategy established by the Senior Manager.
Consumer and Market Insights: Translate consumer, athlete, account, competitive, and Market insights into actionable product recommendations for assigned categories.
Line Optimization: Support category reviews by identifying assortment gaps, product duplication, pricing opportunities, and potential product risks.
Product Creation: Partner closely with Accessories Design, Product Development, and Materials Development throughout the product creation process.
Product Execution: Coordinate decisions across product features, dimensions, construction, materials, colors, graphics, packaging, and specifications for assigned products.
Product Evaluation: Participate directly in concept reviews, sample evaluations, material selections, wear or use testing, and product modifications.
Milestone Readiness: Own assigned milestone deliverables and ensure product briefs, range plans, samples, imagery, system data, and product information are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
Risk Management: Track product progress against the seasonal calendar and proactively identify cost, quality, sourcing, capacity, timing, and commercialization risks.
Issue Resolution: Drive working-level resolution of product creation issues with cross-functional partners and escalate material category, financial, quality, sourcing, or timing decisions when appropriate.
Commercial Performance: Support analysis of sell-in, sell-through, margin, pricing, volume, article count, adoption, and range productivity for assigned products.
Market Feedback: Gather and synthesize Market, account, consumer, and competitive feedback to strengthen current and future product decisions.
Go-to-Market Readiness: Partner with Go-to-Market and Commercial teams to ensure product information, key benefits, pricing, and seasonal stories are clear and launch-ready.
Sell-In Support: Prepare seasonal presentations, product tools, tech sheets, and other sell-in materials for assigned categories.
Category Representation: Participate in Market meetings, account reviews, trade shows, consumer research, and competitive shopping as required.
Product Expertise: Serve as the Product Marketing subject-matter contact for assigned products throughout seasonal milestones and launch preparation.
Operational Excellence: Maintain seasonal calendars, trackers, action logs, and category follow-up across assigned product scope.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide clear and timely communication across Product Marketing, Design, Product Development, Materials Development, Go-to-Market, Commercial, and Market partners.
Product Data Accuracy: Ensure product decisions and changes are accurately reflected across systems, samples, and stakeholder communications.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify tools, improve handoffs, reduce rework, and strengthen execution quality across the product creation process.
Category Accountability: Own assigned product briefs, line-plan inputs, product recommendations, milestone deliverables, and product information within the approved Accessories strategy.
