POSITION OVERVIEW

Every product is shaped through thoughtful strategy, disciplined execution, and a commitment to delivering meaningful consumer and business impact.
The Manager, Product Marketing (Golf Accessories) manages assigned portions of the global adidas Golf Accessories range across golf bags, gloves, headwear, socks, belts, and related categories. This role translates category direction, consumer insights, and commercial requirements into clear product briefs, line plans, and seasonal deliverables from concept through commercialization and launch.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Product Marketing - Accessories, this role serves as the primary working-level Product Marketing lead for assigned products. The Manager partners closely with Design, Product Development, Materials Development, Go-to-Market, Commercial, Finance, and Market teams to drive hands-on product creation, milestone readiness, product-data accuracy, and timely execution against approved category objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Seasonal Product Management: Manage assigned Accessories products from seasonal planning and brief creation through commercialization, launch, and lifecycle management.
Product Briefing: Create and maintain product briefs, line plans, range tools, and seasonal documentation covering consumer needs, product benefits, price points, margin expectations, timing, and competitive context.
Range Planning: Support seasonal range architecture, assortment recommendations, article planning, and product lifecycle decisions within the strategy established by the Senior Manager.
Consumer and Market Insights: Translate consumer, athlete, account, competitive, and Market insights into actionable product recommendations for assigned categories.
Line Optimization: Support category reviews by identifying assortment gaps, product duplication, pricing opportunities, and potential product risks.
Product Creation: Partner closely with Accessories Design, Product Development, and Materials Development throughout the product creation process.
Product Execution: Coordinate decisions across product features, dimensions, construction, materials, colors, graphics, packaging, and specifications for assigned products.
Product Evaluation: Participate directly in concept reviews, sample evaluations, material selections, wear or use testing, and product modifications.
Milestone Readiness: Own assigned milestone deliverables and ensure product briefs, range plans, samples, imagery, system data, and product information are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
Risk Management: Track product progress against the seasonal calendar and proactively identify cost, quality, sourcing, capacity, timing, and commercialization risks.
Issue Resolution: Drive working-level resolution of product creation issues with cross-functional partners and escalate material category, financial, quality, sourcing, or timing decisions when appropriate.
Commercial Performance: Support analysis of sell-in, sell-through, margin, pricing, volume, article count, adoption, and range productivity for assigned products.
Market Feedback: Gather and synthesize Market, account, consumer, and competitive feedback to strengthen current and future product decisions.
Go-to-Market Readiness: Partner with Go-to-Market and Commercial teams to ensure product information, key benefits, pricing, and seasonal stories are clear and launch-ready.
Sell-In Support: Prepare seasonal presentations, product tools, tech sheets, and other sell-in materials for assigned categories.
Category Representation: Participate in Market meetings, account reviews, trade shows, consumer research, and competitive shopping as required.
Product Expertise: Serve as the Product Marketing subject-matter contact for assigned products throughout seasonal milestones and launch preparation.
Operational Excellence: Maintain seasonal calendars, trackers, action logs, and category follow-up across assigned product scope.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide clear and timely communication across Product Marketing, Design, Product Development, Materials Development, Go-to-Market, Commercial, and Market partners.
Product Data Accuracy: Ensure product decisions and changes are accurately reflected across systems, samples, and stakeholder communications.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify tools, improve handoffs, reduce rework, and strengthen execution quality across the product creation process.
Category Accountability: Own assigned product briefs, line-plan inputs, product recommendations, milestone deliverables, and product information within the approved Accessories strategy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in Product Marketing, Merchandising, Product Creation, or a related function.
• Demonstrated experience managing assigned products through a seasonal creation or commercialization process.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Design and Product Development teams.
• Strong product marketing, merchandising, or product creation capabilities.
• Working knowledge of product briefs, line planning, range architecture, pricing, margin, and product lifecycle management.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a high level of attention to product-data accuracy.
• Ability to work hands-on across Design, Product Development, Materials Development, Sourcing, and Commercial teams.
• Analytical capability with the ability to interpret consumer, competitive, and commercial information and translate insights into product recommendations.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple seasonal workstreams, deadlines, and product details simultaneously.
• Microsoft 365 proficiency, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to travel based on business needs.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Experience in golf, sporting goods, bags, gloves, accessories, or related soft goods.
• Knowledge of golf bags, gloves, accessories, materials, construction, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience partnering with Materials Development, Sourcing, Quality, Supply Chain, or manufacturing teams.
• Experience supporting seasonal range architecture, assortment planning, pricing, margin, and product lifecycle decisions.
• Experience gathering and translating consumer, athlete, account, or Market feedback into product recommendations.
• Passion for golf, sport, and consumer products.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position follows the adidas hybrid work model and is based in Carlsbad, California. Employees are expected to work in the office Monday through Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. In-office attendance may be required on Fridays when the work requires a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation.
The role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative global product creation environment with regular engagement across functions, Markets, suppliers, manufacturers, and external partners. Travel may be required based on business needs, including Market meetings, account reviews, trade shows, product creation activities, and other seasonal priorities. The working language for this position is English.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This role reports to the Senior Manager Product Marketing - Accessories and works as part of the adidas Golf Accessories Product Marketing team. The Manager owns assigned product responsibilities while contributing to priorities across the broader Accessories range as business needs require.
The position has significant cross-functional exposure across Accessories Design, Product Development, Materials Development, Go-to-Market, Marketing, Sports Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Planning, Sales, Market Product teams, Product Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, manufacturers, testing and innovation partners, athletes, ambassadors, and key accounts.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $98,350 - $119,500.
Actual salary will be based on various factors, including a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
