Job description

The Senior Operations Manager will be supporting mid-shift operations (12pm-8pm).  

This role is primarily aligned to a 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM schedule; however, we offer flexibility with start times (e.g., 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) to support both business needs and individual preferences.

PURPOSE
The Senior Operations Manager is a key leader within the adidas North American Supply Chain organization, responsible for managing operations for our ecommerce and retail Distribution Center. This role ensures productivity and service level targets are achieved while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on adidas’ fastest-growing channels and help shape the future of our supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all Distribution Center operations to achieve productivity, service level, and quality targets.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget and cost per unit for the Distribution Center.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve cost structure and customer experience.
  • Maintain expertise in WCS and WMS platforms, providing guidance and support to operations and IT teams.
  • Report on operational metrics to evaluate performance in productivity, quality, safety, and service levels.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Distribution Directors, Transportation, Finance, Customs, and Distribution Center leadership teams.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience leading high-volume ecommerce operations with direct ownership of consumer experience.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain technology solutions and end-to-end processes.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in operations or supply chain management.
