Job description

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an Sr. Electronics Lab Technician position located in Torrance, CA 90503 zip code.

Pay Rate: $27.24/HR

Shift: Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm

Summary

The Sr. Electronics Lab Technician will be responsible for performing functional acceptance testing of circuit board assemblies and power electronic units following defined test procedures. You will support development and validation testing of high voltage automotive power electronic components, in addition to fabricating special test equipment, electronic test boxes, and harnesses.

Job Description:

  • Fabricate special test equipment, electronic test boxes, and harnesses

  • Design and fabricate simple mechanical fixtures and jigs

  • Functional acceptance testing of circuit board assemblies and power electronic units following defined test procedures

  • Support development and validation testing of high-voltage automotive power electronic components

  • Troubleshoot, root cause, and document electronic assembly issues

  • Comfortable working on high voltage (<1kV), high current units

  • Perform printed circuit board assembly modifications such as component rework, soldering/de-soldering of electronic components, etc.

  • Understand how to read electrical schematics and use manufacturers’ product data sheets

  • Procure necessary tools, equipment, and components for prototype builds

  • Set up and utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies, and digital multimeters with no direction

  • Use instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, pressure gauges, and flow meters

  • Use Google Workspace such as Sheets, Slides, etc. to capture test data and create reports

  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe practices

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • A minimum of 1 year experience
