Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and evaluate patients’ physical and mental health to establish individualized care plans that address the unique challenges faced by each patient.
  • Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms utilizing established protocols such as the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) and the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS).
  • Prescribe and adjust Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) medications under the supervision of a physician, ensuring patients receive safe and effective pharmacological support.
  • Recognize and address co-occurring disorders, implementing appropriate interventions within the treatment plan to enhance recovery outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHRs) to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, streamline patient care management, and facilitate communication among team members.
  • Collaborate closely with medical staff, counselors, and social workers to develop coordinated care strategies that maximize the patient’s recovery journey.
