Job description

Crouse's Addiction Treatment team at Commonwealth provides a comprehensive system of assessment and inpatient treatment services for individuals with substance-use disorders by integrating physical, mental and spiritual healthcare practices for patients and families. The Addiction Treatment team is hiring an Addiction Treatment Counselor/Therapist.
Schedule: Per Diem, 8:00am-4:30pm, occasional opportunities to work evening shifts.
Pay Range: $24.50 - 34.43 / hourly.
Addiction Treatment Counselor/Therapist Position Responsibilities:
  • Performs assessments which include the identification of cultural differences in planning for patient care.
  • Provides person-centered treatment to a diverse patient caseload, including individual and group counseling
  • Incorporates knowledge of evidence-based and promising practices into all facets of interaction with patients.
  • Demonstrates competency in the provision of service.
  • Formulates diagnostic impressions.
  • Determines the appropriate level of care.
  • Provides appropriate referrals for follow-up and facilitates referrals for needed services.
  • Document client notes clearly, concisely and according to policy.

Addiction Treatment Counselor/Therapist Position Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field required.
  • 3 years of addiction counseling experience.
  • Years of experience can be substituted with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • OASAS QHP or CASAC designation required
