  • Develop and monitor treatment plans, including conducting intake assessments and determining levels of care.


Job description

Job Details:
  • Counsel consumers, individually and in group sessions at least 4 times a week, to support them in their journey of overcoming addiction, adjusting to life, and making positive changes.
  • Provide individual sessions weekly.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records about the patients' histories and progress, services provided, and other essential information.
  • Collaborate with our other professionals to evaluate consumer needs and plan treatments.
  • Conduct Intake Assessments/ASAM to determine the level of care.
  • Develop treatment plans for consumers.
  • Responsible for determining the consumer's strengths/weaknesses and needs to assist consumers in developing a treatment plan within 7 days of admission.
  • Monitors and documents assigned consumer's progress toward the treatment plan.
  • Provides alcohol and drug education in counseling sessions and groups.
  • Must keep consumer records up-to-date utilizing the EHR System.
  • Responsible for assuring that assigned consumers are given random urinalysis according to State and Federal guidelines.
  • Responsible for consumer confidentiality as regulated by Federal and State guidelines.
  • Responsible for all counselor trainee work performances.
  • Recruit 5 clients a month.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical skills.
  • MUST HAVE CAC-AD OR ADT License (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LICENSE).
  • Must have exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers including EHR.
  • Knowledge of the established diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders.
