Job description

Description
Substance Abuse Counselor position available at the Glen Burnie opioid treatment program.
Competitive pay based on certification level and experience.
Program Hours are 5:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Applicants must be certified by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Alcohol and Drug Trainees will also be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing client case records ensure that their records meet relevant standards and quality assurance.
• Assist residents in developing their individualized treatment plan within 24 hours of intake
• Must be computer literate and preferably
• Write clinical case notes
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing with clinical and administrative staff in a team environment
• Responsible for the completion of the bio-psycho-social assessment.
• Responsible for the completion of the discharge plan and official reports
• Assist in the development of client treatment plans and notes
• Responsible for documenting clients' treatment goals and processes
• Responsible for documenting additional treatment care follow-up, should clients require it
• Responsible for attending clinical meetings
• Responsible for being aware of all relevant clinical events/activities
