Job description

 Summary: 

We are seeking a part-time hybrid Accounting Assistant, based in Littleton, CO. The Accounting Assistant will support financial operations including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, managing accounting records, reconciling accounts and month-end closing processes.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable: Record daily financial transactions, tracking incoming payments, weekly 3rd party invoicing and weekly analysis of collections.
  • Process and monitor customer payments: Ensure that customer payments are recorded accurately daily.
  • Reconciliations: Assist with daily reconciliations of cash, credit card, and bank accounts.
  • Month-End Closing: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Process Customer Returns: Weekly process refunds from customer returns
  • Provide support during audits and financial reviews
  • Serves as a backup to other team members on the Finance team
  • Account Payable: Assist with vendor verifications and be a back-up for accounts payable as needed, including monthly sales taxes and year-end 1099’s.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned

Job Specific Requirements:

Education: Minimum associate degree preferred

1 or 2 years accounting experience

Experience with Microsoft Suite specifically advanced skills in Excel

Preferred but not required experience with Acumatica

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Good communication and problem-solving abilities

 

 

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods of time.

Typing on keyboard.

Speaking and hearing.

Working in a typical office work environment.

 

 


Part Time Position: 25-30 hours weekly / Monday and Tuesday in the office with flexibility.

Hybrid Position – must be located in Colorado to be able to work in the office 2 days a week.

Compensation for this role ranges from $20.00 to $28.00 hourly.
