Job Summary:

Ridgeway Rehab Center, a beautiful 61-bed skilled nursing facility located in Catonsville, Maryland, is seeking a friendly and vibrant Activity Assistant to join our team. As our Activity Assistant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to design and lead activities that make a real difference in the lives of our residents. If you're a joy-spreader, a smile-giver, and a true people person, then Ridgeway Rehab is looking for YOU!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Connections: Facilitate activities for groups and one-on-one that engage residents physically, emotionally, and socially directed under the Life Enrichment Director.

  • Get to Know Our Residents: Spend time with each resident to understand their likes, dislikes, and preferences, making sure each activity fits their needs and personality.

  • Welcome Committee: Meet and greet all new residents to make them feel at home and help them join our community.

  • Report & Reflect: Monitor and document resident participation, behavior changes, and overall engagement in activities. Share these observations to help create a care plan that reflects their evolving needs.

  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with community volunteers, guiding them and assigning tasks that enrich the activity program.
