Activity Assistant

Join Our Team at Towson Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Towson Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Towson, Maryland. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and carrying out activity programs for our residents, providing them with opportunities to engage in meaningful activities that promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being.

About the Role:

  • Assist in the planning, organizing, and carrying out of activity programs for residents, including social activities, outdoor activities, discussion groups, gardening, and arts and crafts

  • Document activity programs and resident participation

  • Decorate resident areas and assist residents with getting to and from activity groups

  • Work collaboratively with our Director of Activities to ensure seamless program implementation

  • May be required to work weekends and holidays

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in a long-term care facility

  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service to our residents

  • Possess strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
