Activity Assistant
Job Summary:
The Activity Assistant will assist departmental supervisors in providing an ongoing program of activities designed to meet in accordance with the assessment or reassessment (Level of Care and Placement Instrument) of the physical, mental and psychosocial wellbeing of each client. The activity should be multifaceted and reflect each individual's needs, abilities, and interests.
Essential Duties
  • Provide stimulation or solace, promotes physical, cognitive and/or emotional health
  • Assist with passing out client meal trays and beverages
  • Complete client signature sheets on each client's record assist in planning and scheduling volunteers, field trips, devotion and guest speakers,
  • Ensure each client has completed or updated activity interest form
  • Provide group scheduled activity, encourage and assist all clients to participate with group activity
  • Provide one-on-one activity with clients who refused or could not participate with group activity
  • Document activity participation with each client
  • Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor
  • Within 1 year of employment to attend the activity training through the Georgia Healthcare Association.
