CNA / Activities Assistant Per Diem
Town of Windsor Caring Connection
The Town of Windsor is seeking an enthusiastic and positive individual to work as a per-diem CNA/Activities Assistant at the Caring Connection Adult Day Health Center for approximately up to 8 hours weekly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists clients with ADLs such as toileting, ambulating, and eating
  • Facilitates recreation and therapeutic programs such as art, music, chair exercise, word games, discussions, etc...
  • Observes and reports any changes or concerns regarding clients to Adult Day Care Professionals to Adult Day Care Professionals and /or the Caring Connection Manager
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as receiving the public, answering phone, activity calendar planning, assist with meals
  • Participates in the maintenance of the physical environment of the program areas

Our Ideal Candidate will:

  • Possess the basic knowledge of the physical, mental, and emotional needs of older adults
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills with both clients as well as other staff members
  • Ability to be flexible and work well in a team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, with one year of experience working with older adults
  • Connecticut Certification as a Nurse Assistant

Compensation:

  • The hourly rate for this position is $18 to $19 per hour - depending on experience

Successful candidates will be subject to the Town of Windsor background screening process, which includes a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen including screening for marijuana.
