Activities Assistant

Lincoln Meadows Care Center

Position: Activities Assistant
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Open Availability Required (Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays)

Lincoln Meadows Care Center is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Activities Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents. If you enjoy working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences that bring joy, engagement, and purpose to each day, we'd love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and assist with daily recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.
  • Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
  • Lead games, arts and crafts, music, exercise programs, holiday celebrations, and special events.
  • Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with residents while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Prepare activity supplies and maintain activity areas.
  • Document resident participation and assist with activity records.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other departments to provide exceptional resident care.
  • Follow all facility policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in activities, healthcare, customer service, or working with seniors is a plus, but not required.
  • Friendly, compassionate, dependable, and patient.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to meet all employment and background check requirements.
