Company Overview
i9 Sports is the nation's first and largest youth sports league franchise business in the United States, with over 3 million registrations across the country. We believe the number one reason kids play sports is to have fun, and we are looking for a creative, motivated Marketing Intern to help us spread that mission across Delaware.
This role offers a unique "360-degree" marketing experience, blending digital strategy with boots-on-the-ground physical marketing. You will work directly with the Area Developer to increase league awareness and drive registrations.
Digital Marketing (The Strategy):

  • Outbound Lead Management: Conduct outbound calls to potential members who have expressed interest in our programs.

Physical Marketing (The Execution):
  • Community Outreach: Distribute flyers to key stakeholders, local businesses, and parking lots.
  • Brand Visibility: Manage the strategic placement and maintenance of road signs throughout the territory.
  • Event Activation: Represent i9 Sports at in-person events to build relationships with families and answer questions about our programs.
  • Gameday Support: Assist with on-site marketing displays and occasional equipment/materials organization as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education: Currently enrolled at an accredited university or college (Marketing, Communications, or Sports Management majors preferred).
  • Location: Must reside in Delaware and have a deep knowledge of the local community.
  • Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license for commuting to events and placing marketing materials.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

Internship Details
  • Status: Unpaid Internship (College Credit available upon request).
  • Hours: Flexible/Varies. Must be available for occasional weekend events and gameday activations.
  • Experience: No prior sports industry experience required, just a passion for marketing and youth development!
